The Township of Pittsgrove  is looking to assist homes in need of repair

In August 2018, the Township of Pittsgrove is applying to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs for federal funds to help Pittsgrove homeowners with their needed home repairs. If funding is approved by the State, eligible homeowners will be able to receive up to an anticipated $17,000 in repairs or replacements of sub-standard major systems.

The Township of Pittsgrove has retained Community Grants, Planning & Housing, LLC, (CGP&H) to prepare the application to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs It is imperative to demonstrate eligible homeowners’ interest and housing repair needs.  If your home needs improvements, submit an easy one page pre-application from the top bar of this website’s home page ASAP. This will get you on the program waiting list which is first come-first served.

 Eligible uses of the funds include:

  • Heating and Electrical Systems
  • Roofs
  • Plumbing System Components
  • Foundations
  • Weatherization (windows, insulation)
  • Lead Based Paint Hazard Remediation
  • And more!

If you live in Pittsgrove Township, own your home (including manufactured/mobile homes) and your total gross annual household income falls below the income limit for your household size, you may qualify to participate in the Program. (Income limits updated annually)

Funding for the State’s CDBG program was provided by a grant from the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development, State Community Development Block Grant Program.
